It was Leigh-Ann's daughter's birthday on Friday. Sarah turned 30 and almost the entire family were treated to an Indian meal in Chilliwack.

Two of Leigh-Ann's oldest friends, Ken and Kim, travelled from Estevan in Saskatschewan to see her. That means a two hour drive at one end, two flights and a one hour drive at this end. They were here for one whole day and then returned home!
That's friendship.

Leigh-Ann had a great weekend. She joined us for Sarah's birthday celebration and ate curry! The next day she had her hair cut and coloured and then went to the Hot Springs hotel to enjoy the baths with Kim and Ken before drinks (non alcoholic for Leigh-Ann) and snacks in the bar.
She had a little nap in the bar... That was a reminder of her illness.
Life for us as a newly married couple is as normal now as it will probably ever be again.
I am grateful for all the things that we can enjoy together that we would normally just take for granted.
I no longer take anything for granted.

Leigh-Ann you look fab...love the hair. After seeing all these beautiful pictures of Canada I have added it to my bucketlist. Manolo has wonderful memories of growing up in Vancouver and would also like to return. This is such a beautiful picture of you and Sarah by the Lake xx

ReplyDeleteHappy 30th Birthday to Sarah and Leigh-Ann - well, us mums have a lot to do with the birth, remember? It's my Laura's 30th on 20th December, so I know what I'm talking about, hehe.
ReplyDeleteI am just so glad you are both being advised to "go for it" - my mum was advised not to and I was very sad for her, since she would have loved one final visit to her favourite holiday destination Menorca. To feel the sunshine on your body will be incredible, Leigh-Ann and, at least, remind you of your chosen home in Nerja. Lots of love xoxox
